WRITER MINI-PROFILE

This film, directed by Paul Duane, is hosted by Pat McCabe who acts as a kind of compere, bringing us through the songs that most influenced him when he wrote and those that found their way into the books.

Pat recites parts of his books and the songs are then performed by the Camembert Quartet - classics like 'Breakfast on Pluto', 'Windmills of Yours Mind', 'Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep' and 'Ernie, the Fastest Milkman in the West'.

Pat McCabe displays for us the wild imagination that has propelled all of his fiction and this film is the first time an Irish audience has a chance to get inside his head and see what makes him tick.
